Tuesday, November 15, 2005,the Vice-president of the National Regulatory Authoirty for Communications, Ms. Alexandrina Hirtan,delivered a speechin the opening session of the 10th Cable Communications Convention.
The ANRC Vice-president delivered a speechentitled „Cable broadband access to the Internet -trends and development potential”highlighting theopportunities for the providers of services of audio-visual programmes re-transmission to take up provision ofhigh-speed Internet access servicesto theirCATV subscribers. Furthermore, Alexandrina Hirtan pointed out the provisionsof the draft law on the on the regime of the communications network infrastructure, regulating the access on propertiesof the providers of electronic communications networks and services,the shared use ofelectronic communications network infrastructure(masts, pillars, ducts etc.),as well as certain issuesconcerning the installation of electronic communications networks.
